An Elegant Country Wedding in Hanover

The pew markers were made with lemon leaf, ruskus, wheat and lavender. All tied together with twine, burlap and ribbon. The family pews were marked with the addition of a hydrangea. (more…)

A Fall Wedding

Just like many of us, this bride was on a budget.  Sure, there were a few mums thrown in, but premium flowers make the difference, and you don’t always need a whole lot of a good thing.

The bridal bouquet had white and green decorative cabbage, wax flower, football mums, roses and rosemary for remembrance.  The bridesmaids’ bouquets were a combination of an orange lily, rovers, pinkish sedum,  burgundy mums, safari sunset and orange roses with buplerum which added an airy feeling.

Table Arrangements:

We had all kinds of combinations of flowers, mirrors, containers and even a few slices of a burl to put on the tables. It looked lush and well planned (because it was).

A Bride With Elegant Taste

Lush and rich, this bride has such elegant taste. Peonies, variegated tulips, garden roses, and natural greens complement her style.

There were two candelabras with the guest book. This is the one on the left, they were identical, curving inwards.

Wedding at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

the bride and groom - photo by Scott Elmquist

What a beautiful day for a wonderful wedding for a perfectly lovely couple.

Sometimes a posie is more appropriate than and pin on corsage. Photo Credit Scott Elmquist.

One large arrangement was put in the dining room.

The very fragrant Bridal bouquet.

Wedding Flower Consultation Only?

Yes, really.

Flowers can be a big expense for your wedding. It doesn’t have to be that way.

  • Do you have friends willing to help?
  • Do you want to “do” the flowers yourself?

I will happily consult with you to pick your flowers and containers. I will order them from my wholesaler, and help you as much or as little as you want.
You don’t want to do anything but envision it? I will gladly take care of it all.
Best wishes for your special day,
Sarah

Fall Wedding Anchored by the Cymbidium Orchid
foyer arrangement

Foyer Arrangement

On September 26th, I arranged the flowers for a wedding and reception.  (The bride’s flowers will follow.) The bride wanted red roses, so I incorporated those into a fall palette of greens, burgundys and other shades of fall.

The anchor for the arrangements was the cymbidium orchid, which carried all the colors. I used lots of different materials (including figs and champagne grapes) to create interest and richness.

The photo featured here was in the foyer. Visit my flickr account for more photos.

A Hand Held Posie
What a pretty posie.

What a pretty posie.

This posie is so sweet.  A gathering of fresh seasonal flowers for any event– the prom, a recitals, or even in you kitchen window sill.
