Fall Wedding Anchored by the Cymbidium Orchid

Foyer Arrangement

On September 26th, I arranged the flowers for a wedding and reception.  (The bride’s flowers will follow.) The bride wanted red roses, so I incorporated those into a fall palette of greens, burgundys and other shades of fall.

The anchor for the arrangements was the cymbidium orchid, which carried all the colors. I used lots of different materials (including figs and champagne grapes) to create interest and richness.

The photo featured here was in the foyer. Visit my flickr account for more photos.

Roses are still the best wedding flowers and also those Catleya orchids ..
